NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - A 40-year-old man who was a popular actor in a YouTube drama series was found murdered in his apartment in the Bronx.
Tyrone Fleming was lying in a pool of blood with a stab wound to his back inside the first-floor apartment at 1720 University Avenue, according to police. No arrests had been made in connection with the killing by Thursday morning.
His fiance had reportedly called police when she discovered his body blocking the door at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. She had been alerted by a family member that Fleming had not gone to work on Wednesday at Con Ed, reported the Daily News.
Fleming played 'Tye Banga' on the Bronx-based crime series '848.' The series, named after the federal statute that targets drug kingpins, draws up to 100,000 views an episode.
Season three was scheduled to begin June 6. It was not viewable on YouTube on Thursday. It was unclear if the release was delayed because of the killing.
