12 boys, coach rescued from cave in Thailand

(AP) - Thai Navy SEALs announced Tuesday that 12 boys and their coach were rescued from a cave, ending an ordeal that lasted more than two weeks.

Three ambulances, their lights flashing, were seen leaving the site of the flooded Thai cave where rescuers were involved in an all-out effort to rescue members of the youth soccer team and their coach that were trapped deep within.

Earlier Tuesday, Thai navy SEALS said a ninth boy had been brought out of the cave on the third day of the rescue effort.  Four boys and their 25-year-old coach were the last to be rescued.

The 12 boys and their coach were trapped by flooding in the cave more than two weeks ago.
