Man shoved onto subway tracks at Grand Central Terminal

- Police want to find the man who shoved another man onto the train tracks at Grand Central Terminal.

The suspect and the victim had bumped into each other while walking up the stairs to the no. 6 train at about 4:15 p.m. on July 30.

Once on the platform, the suspect bumped the 47-year-old man from behind, according to police. The victim then asked the suspect why he had done so and the suspect challenged him to a fight.

That's when the suspect shoved him onto the roadbed, said police. The suspect fled.

Bystanders helped the victim back onto the platform.  He was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for cuts to his arms and legs.

The suspect is described by police as black, approximately 27-28 years old with a thin build and approximately 5'8" tall.
