Refugees vs. immigrants

The immigration crisis has highlighted a complicated legal process facing many who don't understand the laws or speak the language. American Immigration Lawyers Association President Anastatia Tonello said that immigrants can apply for refugee status before crossing the border but the majority of the recent wave of Central American immigrants are not likely people who have gotten refugee status.
