Cyber Monday deals and tips

Thanksgiving weekend is one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year, but in case you forgot, the sales aren't over yet. There’s still Cyber Monday!

"Stores are going to do even more on Cyber Monday, especially online retailers. They're a little bit more nimble, they can change their discounts, so say if they don't have a great Black Friday, they can be a little bit more aggressive on Cyber Monday," said Trae Bodge, Splender.com smart shopping expert.

Bodge said cyber deals start early Monday morning, but many sites will promote different deals throughout the entire day. Some New York shoppers told Fox 5 they're taking advantage of the big day. Others- not so much.

“We do like shopping online. We prefer that to going to the stores,” said one shopper.

"I don't do it because I’m old fashioned, I like to touch and feel things. That's the way I roll. Not for me," said another.

Of course, you can find great deals Monday from tons of different retailers, but Bodge said you may want to keep your eye on some specific items.

"It's really best to focus on three categories: so you have your electronics, you have your apparel and accessories, and then you have your beauty items. Those are the three categories I would focus on and then focus on everything else later," she said.

If you're too overwhelmed or you aren't ready to do your holiday shopping just yet, shopping experts tell Fox 5 they are predicting two super Saturdays coming up. One on Christmas Eve, which falls on a Saturday, and the other big shopping day will be the Saturday on the weekend before Christmas.
