Multiple injuries reported after Crosby school bus flips

A Crosby Independent School District bus was struck during an accident and flipped over with students inside, the Harris County Sheriff's Office has confirmed. EMS arrived to the accident site after 3:19 p.m.  Deputies and Harris County Precinct 3 deputy constables also arrived to the accident site on FM 1942 near Bohemian Hall Road.
50 students from Crosby Middle School and Crosby High School were on the bus. 13 students and the bus driver were taken by Highlands and Crosby EMS crews to either East Houston Regional Medical Center or Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital with injuries determined not to be life-threatening. The driver swerved the bus to avoid striking another vehicle and ended up in overturned in a ditch.
Crosby ISD released the following two statements on its Facebook page:
All students with the exception of one have been picked up from the scene of the accident. As of now 14 students including the driver have been transported by ambulance and we are in the process of trying to notify those parents.
Bus 213 was involved in a serious bus accident. Paramedics are on the scene of the accident and at this time there are no life-threatening injuries to report. Students are currently being evaluated by medical personnel. Parents with students that ride bus 213 may go to the Operations Center. Students will be transported to the Operations Center once they have been evaluated. Will report more as we receive information.
