NBA game to air in virtual reality

When the NBA champion Golden State Warriors take on the New Orleans Pelicans on opening night, fans will have the option of watching in virtual reality. "It feels like you're at a game," Jeff Marsillo of the NBA told USA Today.

Tuesday night's game will air on TNT and streamed to the Samsung Gear VR, a virtual reality headset that runs about $100-$200.

"You look to the left, and see a basket. You look to the right, and see a basket. You look to the ground, and see the court," said Marsillo.

The NBA is reportedly using the first game of the Warriors' season to test virtual reality and is open to streaming other games, added USA Today.

Tip off is scheduled for 10:30 p.m.
