Zadroga firefighter honored at City Hall

Retired firefighter Ray Pfeifer was honored at City Hall for his work in persuading Congress to extend Zadora Act benefits for thousands of 9/11 first responders suffering from 9/11 related illnesses.

The 57-year-old spent 8-months at Ground Zero and was diagnosed with kidney cancer 6 years later.
He worked with comedian Jon Stewart to get the Zadrgoa extension passed on Capitol Hill.

Pfeiffer also said he was only a very small part of the effort to pass the Zadroga extension.
