Al Savitz goes to CentraState fitness and wellness center in Freehold, New Jersey, four to five days a week to jump rope. PHOTOS: SAVITZ'S GYM ROUTINE   He is 93. It all started 35 years ago for this World War II veteran and former history teacher and New York City school principal.

"I watched first graders jumping rope and I said 'If they can do it, I can do it," Savitz said. So now each time he is at the gym he aims to jump rope 700 times. He hopes by his 94th birthday in February he can jump rope 1,000 times a day.

When at the gym, Savitz also rides the bicycle and lifts weights.
