A woman in Connecticut says she was verbally assaulted while breastfeeding her baby.
Jessie Maher claims it happened in a Target store in Torrington, Connecticut on Monday morning.
Maher says she was in the middle of breastfeeding her baby when a man came up to her and started cursing at her for breastfeeding the baby.
"He said it was f---ing disgusting and he kept repeating that," Maher says.
Maher says shortly into the incident another customer and several Target staff members came to her defense and stood between her and the man.
It is a legally protected right to breast feed in Connecticut. Women can breastfeed in public places and work places.
