Woman hits Wendy's employee with burger

Police say a Connecticut woman was so angry by a mishandled Wendy's order that she hit the cashier with her burger.

It happened Friday afternoon at a location on Washington St. in Middletown.  Police say that 50-year-old Holly Bartolotta of New Britain is charged with second-degree breach of peace, according to police reports.

The assistant manager said that Bartolotta and her son were at the restaurant.  Bartolotta was upset about a burger, began to yell and swear, and then threw the burger at a cashier.  She also hit another customer during the incident.  A witness gave similar accounts of the event.

Police said that Bartolotta was upset about them getting her order wrong and more upset about how they handled trying to correct their mistake.

She told police that she was also emotional because she was having to put her dog down.  She admitted to yelling swearing, throwing the burger and bumping into another customer.

She is scheduled to return to Superior Court on June 15.
