Woman arrested with 3 pounds of heroin strapped to her butt

A 47-year-old woman was caught trying to smuggle heroin into the United States from Mexico by strapping it to her butt.

It happened last week when the woman tried walking into the United States at the Nogales, Arizona border crossing.  The woman was referred for further inspection by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry.

Homeland Security released a photo showing the large packages around her rear-end.  According to the agents, the three pounds of heroin she was carrying was worth more than $45,000.

The 47-year-old Arizona woman was arrested and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

It was just one of several drug arrests made that same day on the Nogales border, according to authorities, including a car that had more than 31 pounds of meth hidden in the floor.

In all, they seized a combined 68 pounds of methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin worth more than $410,000
