What to do in New York before summer ends

Before you know it summer will be a memory, which means it is time to take advantage of warm weather activities.

If you love a cool dip in the pool, make your experience special. The Floating Pool Lady in Barretto Point Park has amazing views. The pool is in a floating barge. It is 82 feet long, 4 feet deep, 7 lanes wide and open until September 10.

If you'd rather be on the water instead of in the water, Manhattan by Sail has you covered. The Shearwater is a 1929 schooner that used to be a private yacht.

Looking for a good food adventure? Get yourself over to Smorgasburg. This outdoor foodie market in Prospect Park features more than 100 vendors. It is open every Saturday and Sunday through early November.

On the West Side, check out Ellington in the Park in Riverside Park. It is a sweet spot where you can catch a breeze, take in the beautiful scenery and grab a bite to eat.

In the mood for a movie? Then stay outdoors. Bryant Park has a popular summer series. But in Long Island City's Socrates Park, you can watch one against the gorgeous backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.

Finally, if you're into multi-tasking, stop by Hotel Hugo in SoHo. Take in the view and on Monday nights catch a movie. This Cuban-themed rooftop lures you with an array of delicious food and tropical drinks.

No matter what you decide, get outside and enjoy the warm weather before summer ends.
