Ways to celebrate National Choclate Day

Friday was National Chocolate day.

New Yorkers drink to national chocolate day.

At Max Brenner in Union Square, they celebrate 20-years of chocolate making with a menu that would entice any sweet tooth.

For instance, Max Brenner has their popular Italian Dark Chocolate in a Hug Mug. The idea is to smell the drink first to get the full aroma, then take a taste of it.

Across the bridge in Brooklyn, Li-Lac Chocolates has its own chocolate factory. Workers are hard at work making sweets.

The owner says when it comes to taste they stick to tradition, “Li-lac Chocolates has been around for 93 years. We were established in 1923 by a Greek immigrant who opened up a shop on Christopher Street in the heart of the village and made a line of signature chocolates. We’ve been using the same ingredients since the 1920s.”

At Godiva, workers spent hours dipping fresh strawberries in chocolate enough to make your mouth water.

So here's starting your weekend on a sweet note.
