Video of peep hole killer released

The NYPD has released surveillance video of the suspect in the shooting death of a mother in her Bronx apartment.

The suspect was carrying an umbrella inside the Concourse Village building on Saturday at about 9:45 p.m. when he shot Wendy Martinez, 45, through her door's peep hole.  Police found her on the ground and unresponsive when they entered apartment 1F.

The NYPD reportedly believes the bullet was intended for Martinez's son, Brian Solano, 25, who is a suspect in a 1994 murder.

In the surveillance video, the suspect walks up to the door twice before running off the second time.

He is described by police as having a medium complexion and build. The suspect is believed to be in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark colored baseball cap, gray sneakers and dark sweatpants with a Miami Heat basketball logo on the left leg.
