Trump and Putin morph into one on TIME magazine cover

TIME magazine's latest cover features a blended image of President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin morphed into one person.

The new issue, unveiled Thursday, features an article about the leaders' controversial summit in Helsikni, Finland.

Trump faced wide criticism after the meeting from both Republicans and Democrats for his handling of the summit with Putin and for steering clear of any confrontation with the Russian, going so far as to question American intelligence and last week's federal indictments that accused 12 Russians of hacking into Democratic email accounts to hurt Hillary Clinton in 2016.

After his toughness with Putin was put in question, President Trump later declared on Wednesday he had told the Russian leader face to face to stay out of America's elections "and that's the way it's going to be."

A story explaining the cover, introduces the artist who says her goal with the composite is to help readers "stop and think" when it comes to similarities between the two leaders.
