Truck slams into Bronx building, killing pedestrian

NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say a 37-year-old woman was killed and six people suffered minor injuries when a Coca-Cola truck hit a group of pedestrians and crashed into a building in the Bronx.

It happened at East 138th Street near Bruckner Boulevard in the Port Morris section just before 3:30 p.m. Monday.

It wasn't clear what caused the truck to lose control.

Coca-Cola released a statement saying it was deeply saddened by the death and that it was cooperating in the investigation.
