Toys of Hope help families during Christmas

Lots of very happy kids were present on Huntington, Long Island.

They got all sorts of free gifts, games and toys.

The "Toys of Hope" charity held the event that helped over 200 homeless families on Christmas Eve.

Parents also got to take some household appliances like blenders and toasters.

The give-away was set up in the parking lot of the Huntington Station because so many families got there by train or bus.

Some even walked.

“The charity Toys for Hope is there for any one all year long. All volunteer charity. 100% goes to the people. 100% of all money raised is used to help the people,” said Melissa Doktofsky, founder of Toys of Hope Children’s Charity.
