Toronto police release photo of beer can tossing suspect

Police in Toronto are looking for a man who threw a beer can onto the field during Tuesday night's wild-card game between the Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles.

The beer landed only feet from Orioles fielder Hyun Soo Kim, causing him to flinch before making the catch. Kim looked up to see who had tossed the can, but did not appear to identify him.

The Toronto Sun reported the next day that it had confirmed the man's identity as that of Ken Pagan, a newspaper copy editor. It was not clear if he had turned himself.

"I was drinking out of a cup," Pagan told the Sun. "I'd love to tell you what happened and my story, but I can't say anything."

Along with the photo from is information asking for the public's help:

"Investigators are strongly encouraging this man to seek legal advice and turn himself into police. Anyone with any information on this man, is asked to contact investigators at 52 Division by calling 416-808-5200."

The Blue Jays released a statement about the incident on Twitter which says, in part, "It is extremely unfortunate that the irresponsible actions of one individual would detract from the game on the field, and tarnish an otherwise memorable night.”
