- A car rear-ended a yellow taxi, causing it to jump a curb and crash into food cart in Manhattan Monday afternoon. Several people were hurt.

The car -- a black Honda -- that caused the chain-reaction then drove off. The NYPD said the Honda had been traveling fast down Broadway when it hit the cab, which had pulled over to pick up a passenger.

The accident happened at West 62nd Street and Broadway at about 4:38 p.m., the FDNY said.

Video from the scene showed the cab -- a minivan -- crashed into a food cart, which toppled over and landed on a Con Edison van.

Four people were hurt. One woman was taken to Bellevue in critical condition. The food cart vendor was taken to Cornell. Another man and another women were taken to St. Luke's.
