Sofia Vergara is sued by her own embryos

'Modern Family' star Sofia Vergara is being sued by her own embryos.

According to Page Six, a right-to-live lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Louisiana on behalf of the fertilized eggs against Vergara.

Former fiancé Nick Loeb had already sued the Colombian native for custody of the embryos dubbed 'Emma' and 'Isabella.' He has said that he wants to have the embryos implanted in a surrogate and that Vergara have no parental rights.

Traditionally pro-life state Louisiana offers special legal protections for frozen embryos.

By not being born, the embryos have been deprived of an inheritance from a trust that has been created for them in the state by Loeb, reported Page Six.

The trustee of the embryos is listed as James Carbonnet, who is also the plaintiff, sources said.
