Elon Musk claims he's deleting his Twitter account
Elon Musk says he's deleting his Twitter account 10 months after his use of the social media site landed him in trouble with U.S. regulators.
The Tesla CEO changed his Twitter display name to Daddy DotCom on Father's Day. Daddy.com is an existing website that provides parenting information to new and expecting fathers. He also posted: "Just deleted my Twitter account".
Musk got in trouble with the Securities & Exchange Commission in August for tweets about taking the company private and saying he had secured funding to do so with no evidence to back that up. Musk and Tesla each paid $20 million in to settle with the SEC.Read the full article
Man arrested for torching rabbi's home
A Pennsylvania man with a tattoo reminding himself to kill a rabbi has been arrested for allegedly setting the Brooklyn rabbi's home on fire.
The arson took place on Thursday. On Sunday, police arrested 41-year-old Matthew Karelefsky. He faces two counts of attempted murder and one count of arson in connection with the fire that left more than a dozen people hurt and damaged two other buildings in the Midwood neighborhood.
Police say that Karelefsky had a tattoo on his forearm stating "Never let go of the HATRED" and "KILL" the rabbi.Read the full article
Penn Station construction causes commuter headaches
It might not be the ‘Summer of Hell,' but it'll certainly be a Summer of inconvenience for some NJ Transit commuters.
Starting Monday select trains from the Montclair-Boonton Line and the North Jersey Coast Line, which normally go into New York Penn Station, will divert to Hoboken Terminal. The change is set to last until September 6th to accommodate Amtrak repairs on two Penn Station tracks.
The $570 million project is expected to take about a year. When completed there will be a new main entrance for LIRR commuters equipped with three escalators, a stairway, and an elevator.Read the full article
