Scary purse robbery caught on camera

Security camera video captured a man waiting to pounce on his victim in order to steal her purse.

The robbery on July 4 at about 3:35 a.m. in the area of Cook Street and Graham Avenue in Brooklyn, shows the victim struggling to unlock her door as the man crouches down only feet behind her.  She does not appear to realize he is there.

The man grabbed the victim's purse off her shoulder and puller her off the stoop.

The 33-year-old woman fell as she struggled to pull her purse back and hit her face against a parked car.

The robber took off with the purse, $200  in cash, a cell phone and five credit cards.

The woman was treated at Woodhull Hospital.

The NYPD is asking for the public's help identifying the suspect. He is described as dark-skinned, 16-22 years old, 5' 8" tall and slim build.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt over his face, ripped blue jeans and black sneakers.
