Rikers Island inmate Naquan Hill, 24, who went missing Wednesday, prompting a lockdown was found early Thursday morning.

A Department of Correction spokesman said that Hill apparently didn't return from outdoor recreation time at about 7:30 p.m.

Two staffers found the inmate on the island at about 3 a.m. It is unclear where.

The New York Post reported that police are searched the waters near LaGuardia Airport and elsewhere nearby.

The NYPD, Port Authority Police and NY State Troopers assisted in the search.

"We are talking to anyone who may be involved, NYPD spokesman Peter Thorne said.

Rikers Island is the city's largest jail and has been plagued for years by a culture of violence and corruption.
