Report: Brussels bombers planned nuclear power plant attack

The Belgium based terror cell that carried out attacks this week was reportedly plotting an attack on a nuclear power plant but may have had to alter their plan to attack the airport and subway system.

The newspaper Derniere Heure report that the ISIS cell was spying on the head of the Belgian nuclear program to possibly kidnap him to force their way into an atomic facility.

Hours of reconnaissance footage was suppodedly uncovered in an apartment in Brussels that was raided by anti-terroist police.  The raid was carried out after the Paris attack and investigators were not sure what to make of the footage at first, which showed the entrance to the director's home.

It wasn't until they fully watched and analysed the video did they figure out the potential nuclear danger.

Extra soldiers were placed at nuclear power plants across Belgium last month after the pieces of the potential plot were put together.

Derniere Heure speculates that the added security forced the cell to alter their target to a less secure facility.
