Report: Anthony Weiner in sex addiction rehab

In July 2013, Anthony Weiner apologized for a sexting scandal during his failed bid to be the mayor of New York City. He said that behavior was behind him. But it wasn't.

In 2011, Weiner stepped down from congress after tweeting a lewd picture of himself.

In 2016 he sent a lewd picture of himself with his child in the bed to a 40-year-old woman. But the feds took notice when Weiner allegedly sexted a 15-year-old girl.

Now the disgraced politician has reportedly checked into a sex addiction treatment center. The DailyMail.com exclusively reports that Weiner is in a rehab facility that treats counseling for cybersex and porn addictions.

Dr. N.G. Berrill is a forensic psychologist who has treated sex offenders. He said that if you are compulsively involved in such behavior then you can't control yourself very well. He says it isn't east to get control of things that have caused tremendous harm, such as ruining your career and marriage.

The feds seized Weiner's computers as part of the investigation into whether he sexted with a minor. That landed Weiner's scandal in the center of the presidential campaign. Weiner and his now estranged wife Huma Abedin shared a laptop computer. Abedin is a close aide to Hillary Clinton.

The FBI announced Friday that agents are trying to figure out if any emails on that device are connected to Clinton's use of a private server while she was secretary of state.
