Protesters disrupt GOP health care session in Senate

Protesters chanting "Don't kill us, kill the bill" briefly delayed the U.S. Senate's proceedings on the GOP's controversial health care legislation.

The demonstrators shouted from the visitors' gallery above the Senate floor at about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The senator presiding over the chamber banged a gavel and asked the Senate sergeant-at-arms to "restore order."

Police officers kicked out the protesters less than 2 minutes later. The demonstrators shouted "shame" as they left.
