The NYPD shut down a portion of the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx because of the discovery of a suspicious object until the Bomb Squad to check it out.

Police confirmed that a pressure cooker was found under the highway at East 134th Street. Police said the pressure cooker did not have any wires or a cell phone attached to it. The Bomb Squad investigated and gave the "all clear."

A pressure cooker bomb exploded in Chelsea on Saturday and similar explosive failed to detonate a few blocks away.
