Folks who live in the Bay Area are serious about their coffee.

From Philz to Blue Bottle, hipsters and techies have a particular penchant for their cup of Joe.

So it should come as no surprise to find a $15 cup of coffee.

Equator Coffees and Teas based in Marin County released their special Finca Sophia blend last month.

The beans, which cost $75 per 1/2 pound sold out within 18 hours.

Never fear! You can still get it by the cup at a mere $15 each.

So what makes this coffee so special?

The Finca Sophia coffee farm is located in Panama at an altitude of 2,100 meters, making it one of the highest altitude farms in Central America.

Akash Saini, with Equator Coffees and Teas says it took 8 years to grow these particular coffee beans.

He describes the coffee as delicate with a sparkling complexity containing flavors of sweet melon and jasmine.

Equator Coffee and Teas has two cafes in Marin County and one in San Francisco.
