Snowstorm hits Long Island, Connecticut

Another nor'easter brought snow to parts of New York and New England. The storm largely spared New York City and northeastern New Jersey.

The National Weather Service issued Winter Storm Warnings for all of Connecticut and Suffolk County on Long Island. Those warnings expired.

Weather alerts for New Jersey, New York City, Nassau County, and the lower Hudson Valley have ended.

New York City's Emergency Management Department issued a Travel Advisory for Tuesday, March 13.

Coastal flooding was not expected to be significant. Coastal Flood Advisories for parts of Long Island have ended.

Amtrak suspended service between Boston and New York City on Tuesday because of the weather.
