New York's Agern and Faro score Michelin stars

More than a dozen New York City restaurants have been added to the prestigious Michelin Restaurant Guide. Fox 5 checked out two of these foodie hot spots.

Agern Restaurant tucked away in Grand Central Terminal has been open for only six months, but world-renowned restaurant entrepreneur and owner Claus Meyer has a new big accomplishment to check off his list: a Michelin star for his new spot.

The 2017 list is out. Each year anonymous inspectors from the Michelin organization bestow their prestigious 1-, 2- or 3-star ratings to top restaurants all over the world.

We also visited Faro in Bushwick, Brooklyn, which is also celebrating its first Michelin star.

80 Michelin star restaurants are in New York this year.
