New York City protests Trump prior to his NYC visit

Protests are going into the night across New York City a day before President Trump is scheduled to arrive.

The protestors talked about the horror of what happened in Charlottesville and how it is just the tip of the iceberg.

They've been angry about the growing hate in this country since before the election. Thousands are protesting President Trump for that very reason. They said he enabled the white supremacist in Virginia and until he condemns them directly, he is continuing to do so.

Protests began at Union Square around 4 p.m. and they marched up the Columbus Circle to get more protestors.

The group was mobilized by several socialist organizations and Black Lives Matter. They said they’re here to turn pain and fear of Charlottesville into solidarity.

Some people returned from Charlottesville Sunday morning. They were there as counter protestors.

They said they traveled back to New York City to send a message to President Trump as he makes his visit to the city.
