New mom's body found wrapped in plastic
INSIDE EDITION - The body of a woman who vanished while she was eight months pregnant has been discovered in a North Dakota river.
Kayakers on the Red River reportedly found the plastic-wrapped remains of 22-year-old Savanna Greywind on Sunday.
It's the latest development in the case of Greywind's Aug. 19 disappearance, which quickly made national headlines as increasingly perplexing details emerged in the case.
One such development came last week when Fargo police revealed they had discovered a healthy, 2-day-old newborn baby in one of Greywind's neighboring apartments.
Fargo Chief of Police David Todd said the baby was discovered while investigators executed a search warrant at the residence.
The neighbors, 32-year-old William Hoehn and Brooke Crews, 38, were detained and taken to the police department for interviews by detectives.
As further information was developed and evidence obtained, Hoehn and Crews were both arrested and charged with class A felony conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
Hoehn and Crews admitted that the child was Greywind's, according to CBS News.
DNA testing is being conducted to confirm that the baby is Greywind's as investigators work to determine the manner of birth.
Additional charges against Hoehn and Crews are reportedly pending. Todd said in a press conference Monday that both suspects will likely be charged with conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and false information.
