Nevada boy is a Met for a day

The New York Mets signed a new player: Maximus Miannay.

Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Mets, the 12-year-old from Nevada officially became part of the team with a one-day contract.

Max was born with cystic fibrosis, which affects all of his organs, especially his lungs. His mother says she never allowed his diagnosis to define him.

A year ago, the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted the baseball lover a wish and last week he found out it was going to become a reality.

Max said he was so excited and happy his dream came true.

He not only signed his contract with the Mets, he got a uniform, met his teammates, and got to swing with the pros on the field.

It was definitely a grand slam day for the newest member of the New York Mets. Congratulations, Max!
