New York man convicted of child sexual exploitation

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — An upstate New York man has been found guilty of sexual exploitation of a child.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Syracuse announced 61-year-old Clif Seaway, of Granby, was convicted Thursday of two counts of conspiracy to sexually exploit a child and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Federal officials had charged Seaway, his ex-wife Tammy Martin and one other person with persuading minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct. Prosecutors say five children were victimized from 2001 to 2013.

Investigators had seized more than 50 pieces of electronic equipment including videos of child pornography.

Martin previously pleaded guilty to child sexual exploitation in August.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Seaway faces up a minimum of 15 years during his sentencing in April.
