MTA worker dies in subway fall

Service one several subway lines was suspended early on Tuesday morning after a fatal accident involving an MTA worker in East Harlem.

It happened around 4 a.m. at the 125th and Lexington Ave. station.  A transit worker fell about 20 feet from one track to another and hit their head.  The worker, who was not identified, had been picking up debris.

They were taken to a nearby hospital but were dead by the time they got to the hospital.

4,5 and 6 train service was suspended between 86th St. and 149th Street-Grand Concourse in both directions due to the investigation.

No other details were immediately available.
