Mother posts photo of son in same place as alligator attack

A woman who says she and her family were in the same lagoon as the boy who was dragged away by an alligator posted photos of her son playing in the water and asked people not to judge the victim's family.

Jennifer Venditti says she took the photos of her young son at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday wading in the water at the Disney Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Lane Graves, 2, of Nebraska was dragged into the Seven Seas Lagoon by an alligator about thirty minutes later. His parents reportedly tried desperately to save him.

The Orange County Sheriff announced the boy's body was found intact on Wednesday afternoon.

"PRAY, PRAY so hard for the family & for those who witnessed this tragic event. I took these pics at the exact spot this happened," wrote Venditti on Facebook.

"I've already seen posts criticizing the parents. I can assure you alligators were not on my mind at all when Channing was in the water. It's a tiny beach, surrounded by pools, water slides, a restaurant and a fire pit. I can't conceive that an alligator would be in such a busy, small space. ‪#‎judgelesspraymore‬"
