Mother accused of choking baby twins

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Police say officers struggled with a New Jersey woman who had her 8-week-old twins in a chokehold.

Police say 25-year-old Faith Edohen of Newark on Monday was tightening her grip and violently swinging the boy and girl as they struggled to breathe.

The children and mother were taken to a hospital, where they're in stable condition.

Edohen is charged with child endangerment. It's not known if she has a lawyer.
