MIT scientists invent 'second skin' that hides wrinkles

Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say the have invented a cream that can temporarily tighten skin, essentially 'hiding' wrinkles, bags, and other skin conditions.

"With further development, it could also be used to deliver drugs to help treat skin conditions such as eczema and other types of dermatitis," said Daniel Anderson, Associate Professor.

The second skin is transparent and can stay on for at least 24 hours. Users apply the cream and then another cream that serves as a catalyst which makes it very adherent.

The initial cream contains a chemical structure known as siloxane which slides on smooth, then hardens when the second layer is added, reported the Washington Post.
