Mayor apologizes for husband's KKK costume

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - An Oklahoma mayor is apologizing for her husband's actions after he and a group of friends dressed as KKK members and held a prank Klan rally for Halloween.

Lahoma Mayor Threresa Sharp spoke to local media about the incident. The costumes were part of a Halloween prank that included a burning cross.

"It happened on my property. I don't know what else to say other than I'm sorry to the community and I'm sorry to the public," said Sharp. "It was the stupidity and actions of four separate individuals and it does not reflect on me or anyone else who is in the community."

The county Sheriff's Office said no crime was committed. The case was handed over to the district attorney.
