Mars Petcare announces voluntary recall for dog food

Mars Petcare announced a voluntary recall for a flavor of the popular CESAR dog food.

On Friday, Mars Petcare announced that their CESAR Classics Filet Mignon Flavor product served as a health risk to dogs because of white plastic pieces that entered the food during production.

Mars Petcare sent out a statement “At Mars Petcare, we take our responsibility to pets and their owners seriously and are working with all of our distributors and retail customers to ensure the recalled products are no longer sold and are removed from inventory. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this recall.”

If the has a “best before” date between 8/04/18 and 8/05/18, and has a particular lot code, those products are suggested to be recalled.
