NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Police in New York City are trying to track down a man who sexually abused a young girl in the subway system.
The NYPD says it happened last Thursday afternoon in Jamaica, Queens on a southbound 7 train. Police say the man approached the 9-year-old girl on the train about 2:45 p.m. Police say he exposed himself and pressed his body against the little girl.
He took off before he could be caught. Police released images of the suspect that were captured by security cameras.
They say the man they are looking to question in connection with the case is black, approximately 30-years-old, approximately 6-feet tall, approximately 200 pounds and had dreadlocks.
Anyone with information in regard to the incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. Police say that all calls are strictly confidential.
