Man stabbed during dispute over subway seat

A man was stabbed in a subway train during a dispute with another man over a seat.

The 25-year-old victim was struck with a sharp object in the stomach and left arm, according to police.

The assault happened at about 2:15 p.m. on Sunday aboard a southbound No. 2 train at Third Avenue and East 149th Street in the Bronx.

The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.

Security camera footage shows the man walking out of the station and onto the sidewalk in the Mott Haven section of the borough carrying an orange bag. 

The NYPD released the video in the hope someone might recognize the assailant and contact them.  The suspect is a black male, 45-50 years old, heavy set, with salt and pepper hair.
