Man slaps elderly victim in face, stomps on glasses

Police in New York City are looking for a man seen on security camera video slapping an elderly man and stomping on his glasses.

The incident took place just after Noon on May 18 in front of a residence on 97 Street in Queens.

The suspect, identified by police as George Powell, 58, appears to be arguing with the 94-year-old man from the sidewalk. He then walks up the stairs to the victim and slaps him in the face, throwing his glasses to the ground.

The elderly man tries to hit the man with his cane as the suspect walks back down the stairs and to the sidewalk where he stomps on the man's glasses before walking off.

The elderly man was not seriously injured, according to police.

Powell is described as 5'7" tall, 160 lbs. with brown eyes and partially bald. 

He was last seen wearing black boots, dark jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt.
