A 49-year-old man has been killed after a man grabbed an NYPD officer's gun and opened fire before another officer shot and wounded the shooter, said police.

The incident unfolded just after 1 a.m. Tuesday in a bodega in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx.

Police say two officers confronted a Efrain Guzman, 30, who was being disruptive inside the store. When officers tried to escort him outside, police say a struggle ensued and Guzman  got ahold of an officer's gun.

Authorities say he shot the bodega's owner, who was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Police say the second officer opened fire, striking the Guzman in his torso. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. His condition isn't known.

The names of the bodega owner and the wounded man haven't been released.
