Man attacks driver stopped at red light with stick

New York City police continue to search for a man who they say attacked a driver stopped at a red light in Manhattan.

The attack happened at about 9:50 p.m. on April 18 in Washington Heights. Police say the 37-year-old victim was stopped at a red light at St. Nicholas Ave. when the suspect smashed her driver's side window with a stick.

Investigators say the suspect hit the woman in the face before running away.

The woman suffered injuries to her eye and head.  She was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect. He is described as a black male who was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket with an orange skull on the back, blue jeans and orange sneakers.
