Long Island police investigating bias incident

CEDARHURST, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they're investigating after two swastikas were discovered stray painted in a parking garage on Long Island.

The swastikas were found in a Maple Avenue garage in Cedarhurst on Monday.

Police say they were painted sometime between Friday afternoon and Monday morning.

It's the second such incident in Cedarhurst this month.

Newsday reports that a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged for drawing swastikas with a chalk on the sidewalk outside two homes on Oxford Road.

Police have not determined if the two incidents are related.
