Quick-thinking teen survives push onto NYC subway tracks

NEW YORK (AP) — A quick-thinking teen survived being pushed onto New York City subway tracks by squeezing between the platform and the wheels of an oncoming train.  Police are looking for the man who suddenly approached the 17-year-old girl from behind Saturday evening on the platform of the No. 7 train in Queens' Corona section. He then shoved her.

The motorman was able to activate the emergency brake as the teen pressed against the platform wall.  She suffered only minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The attacker was caught by a security camera. Police say he appears to be in his 20s and was wearing a black jacket, a white T-shirt and white sneakers.  He was seen fleeing the station after the attack.
