Police: More human remains found in Brentwood

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (AP) — Police on Long Island say a second set of human remains have been found in a wooded area in Brentwood.

Suffolk County police said Wednesday the remains were discovered not far from where police on Friday found skeletal remains near Emjay Boulevard, north of the Long Island railroad tracks.

The remains found on Friday were identified as 19-year-old Oscar Acosta, who was reported missing May 2. Police say he was last seen walking near his home in Brentwood. Police are treating it has a homicide.

The medical examiner is examining the second set of remains.

Police did not say if the remains were connected to the deaths of two teenage friends, whose badly beaten bodies were found in Brentwood last week. There have been no arrests in that case.
