Police: Missing NJ woman was homicide victim

WEST ORANGE, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say homicide was the cause of death for a 20-year-old Montclair woman whose body was found in a northern New Jersey Park a week after she was reported missing.

The Essex County prosecutor's office said Friday Sarah Butler's body was placed in the area of Eagle Rock Reservation in West Orange where it was found Thursday.

Butler had been reported missing to police on Nov. 23.

The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers Program is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the murder.
